On November 13, 2024, the Department of Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue Province held the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the “Thua Thien Hue Province Startup and Innovation Competition 2024.”
This competition aims to discover and develop innovative startup projects in key socio-economic sectors of the province. 2024 marks the highest number of registered entries to date, with 92 projects participating across four categories: Agriculture, Medicinal Plants, Information Technology, and Other Creative Startup Ideas and Projects. Many of the participating startup projects have effectively leveraged Hue’s cultural, tourism, and traditional culinary values, as well as increasing the number of technology-based projects in fields such as sales management, healthcare, education, and real estate.
Maintaining the annual provincial Startup and Innovation Competition is an important step in promoting an entrepreneurial spirit among all segments of society, tapping into intellectual resources, and fostering creativity within the community both locally and nationwide. Through this, the competition has contributed to the socio-economic development of the country.
